Job summary

The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support environmental programs across two airport properties in Tucson, AZ. You will lead inspections, monitor regulatory compliance, prepare ADEQ/PDEQ reports, and coordinate with contractors on remediation projects.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in hazardous materials, air and water quality, and experience with SPCC, RCRA, and storm water programs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in environmental science/technology or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years field-based experience in hazardous materials, air quality, and water quality.
• Equivalent mix of education and experience acceptable to demonstrate required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental programs and compliance for two airport properties.
• Perform inspections, monitoring, and recordkeeping per SPCC, RCRA, and ADEQ requirements.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and payments within required timelines.
• Coordinate environmental remediation projects and training for staff and tenants.
