Job summary

Port of Portland is seeking a PDX Maintenance Electrician (Graveyard/Swing Shift) to keep the airport lights on by maintaining electrical supply across all systems, including airfield lighting, pumps, UPS, and generators.

Shifts are set by seniority and may include weekends; candidates must hold a General/Plant Journeyman license, a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain a security badge. Port benefits and CDL options may apply.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
• Electronic schooling in controllers, data-gathering, and/or solid-state controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Electrical supply throughout the Airport systems including pump stations, airfield lighting, lighting control, fire alarm, access controls, UPS, and generators.
• Conduct maintenance of electrical distribution systems ranging in voltages from 15kV.
• Trouble-shoot electrical and electronic controls, including relay logic, PLC programming.
• Respond to equipment malfunction.
