Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale facilities projects, primarily at airports, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with design intent.

You will define functional requirements with Operations, coordinate with Design & Construction on standards and branding, and develop detailed cost estimates to support budgets and approvals. Up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related area required.
• 5–10 years of practical and progressive commercial construction and design project management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of construction activities and professional roles in the industry.
• Excellent communication and social skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and analytical ability with attention to detail.
• Travel up to 40% is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages assigned construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery per scopes and specs.
• Collaborates with Operations to define functional requirements and translate them into architectural/engineering scopes of work.
• Coordinates with Design & Construction and HQ to implement standards, branding, and initiatives across the network.
• Prepares detailed cost estimates to support budgeting and approvals.
• Oversees design development and construction documentation for permitting, bidding, and contracting.
• Reviews drawings for accuracy, constructability, and regulatory compliance.
• Represents the organization in meetings with airports, landlords, and authorities.
• Manages consultants, contractors, vendors, and building officials to ensure compliant delivery.
• Administers contracts, change orders, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
• Conducts property condition assessments and recommends improvements prior to leaseholds.
