Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking an Airport Communications Specialist to facilitate coordination between airport users, document critical information, and notify impacted parties to ensure safety and high-quality customer service at Dallas Love Field (DAL). The role requires experience in airport operations or emergency dispatch, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across departments.

Knowledge of FAA regulations and MS Outlook is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in airport operations, emergency management, emergency dispatch, or related fields.
• Experience with handling public inquiries and coordinating communications in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with 14 CFR 139 and 49 CFR 1542 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between the airport and stakeholders, handling inquiries and providing information on operations and services.
• Coordinates communications between aviation staff for incidents, events, and requests.
• Maintains records of communications and documents emergency events in logs and incident reports.
• Uses telecommunications devices and information management software to disseminate notifications to stakeholders.
• Completes work orders accurately and timely; supports additional duties as assigned.
