City of Dallas is seeking an Airport Operations Officer to inspect land side and airport facilities, ensure safety, security, and FAA compliance, and assist tenants and the public.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, coordinating emergency responses, maintaining records, and processing maintenance work orders. This on-site role requires strong communication and safety focus, with TSA background checks and varying shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 2 years in aviation with airport operations, inspections, or security.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license; TSA background check may be required.

Responsabilités

• Answers questions from customers and directs them to airport resources.
• Inspects facilities for FAA compliance and safety readiness; notes discrepancies.
• Assists airlines with requests and reports incidents using proper channels.
• Keeps records of communications and incidents and ensures timely reporting.
• Submits work orders for maintenance and security, and tracks issues.
• Acts as liaison with tenants; responds to inquiries about airport policies and operations.
• Responds to alerts and emergencies, coordinating notifications across agencies.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
