Job summary

Capital Region Airport Commission is seeking a CAD Operator to provide advanced CAD/design support for airport infrastructure. Under the Director of Capital Development, you will work with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop and maintain detailed drawings.

The role requires a Diploma or Associate’s degree in drafting or CAD, at least three years of CADD experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in CADD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Capital Development and provide support to external engineers, architects, project managers, and management teams.
• Ability to create drawings and 2D/3D renderings in AutoCAD, VidCAD, Solidworks, or Revit.
• Develop and finalize detailed drawings using the latest technology and software.
• Revise and utilize architectural and engineering drawings; assist with board drawings as needed.
• Analyze sketches, notes, and other input materials to determine the best approach for completing drawings.
• Operate a scanner/plotter to transfer developed drawings from disk to a reproducible medium.
• Maintain an organized electronic and paper inventory of drawings, documents, and project files for permanent retention.
• Manage electronic and paper filing and retrieval systems for Commission buildings, facilities, and utility systems.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, local building codes, and project specifications
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, project managers, management teams to ensure proper implementation of design revisions and updates.
