Job summary

Metromont Corporation seeks a Project Drafter to design and prepare CAD drawings for complex projects. You will integrate drafting methods with CAD software, coordinate with engineers, and revise plans to meet evolving specifications.

The role requires an Associate's degree and at least two years of drafting experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Office-based, Monday–Friday schedule with potential field coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years drafting experience.
• Able to efficiently read blueprints and drawings.
• Able to create detailed electronic (CAD) working plans from data.
• Coordinates drafting work with engineers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare CAD working plans, charts, and scale drawings from observations, measurements, and specs.
• Prepare layouts, charts, and material/equipment requirements from sketches and standards.
• Review and manipulate electronic files from consultants/contacts.
• Coordinate drafting with engineers and architects.
• Revise CAD designs to meet changed specs.
• Provide guidance to drafting staff on specs and CAD file usage.
• Identify problems or inconsistencies in plans and data.
