Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is seeking airport agents to deliver excellent customer service, ticketing and rebooking, boarding flights, and assisting passengers with special needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a HS diploma or GED and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

• Lift up to 50 pounds and operate in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage and airfreight, board flights, and rebook passengers as needed.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, check baggage, and provide seat assignments.
• Escort passengers with special needs and marshal aircraft on the ramp.
• Deliver prompt, friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft


• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner


• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously


• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area


• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions


• Service aircraft as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older


• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license


• Have a High School Diploma or GED


• Pass a background check and drug screening


• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship


• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing


• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation


• Adaptability to changing priorities and effective time management skills


• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills


• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Part-time and full-time positions may be available


• $17 per hour
