Job summary

JetBlue is seeking an Analyst Airline Optimization - Horizons to be based at JetBlue's Support Center in Long Island City, NY. The role focuses on understanding how Network plans impact Operations and supports planning decisions to maximize profitability and robustness.

The ideal candidate will analyze schedules, develop scenarios with Route & Schedule Planning, and forecast operability and disruption risk. Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in SQL and Python or R are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years relevant experience
• 1 year of analytical or related experience
• SQL and/or Python or R programming
• Strong airline business acumen
• Excellent data analysis and problem solving
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Must pass pre-employment drug test
• Authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Identify hidden inefficiencies in Network or operational plans and develop opportunities to improve schedule setup
• Work with Route & Schedule Planning to build schedule scenarios, assess revenue/strategic impact, and execute Network changes
• Use planning scenarios to measure the cost impact of schedule and resource changes
• Develop tools to forecast operability outcomes and disruption risk
• Build relationships with Operational teams to align short- and long-term planning decisions
• Leverage project and change management techniques for end-to-end implementation
• Improve schedule design and operational planning processes
• Other duties as assigned
