Job summary

LSG Sky Chefs in San Diego, CA is hiring an Airline Food & Equipment Coordinator to support meal service operations for our airline clients. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check, with duties including coordinating flight schedules and preparing meal carts.

Eligible candidates must drive large delivery trucks, lift heavy items, and maintain safety standards. This is a full-time position with benefits and a pay rate of up to $21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Walk/stoop/bend/stand for entire shift.
• Good organizational skills; adaptable to changes.
• Lift 50 pounds.

• Complete on-the-job driver training.
• Interpersonal, customer service skills with professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate flight schedules from dispatch for specific airlines.
• Collect final information including flight number, aircraft type, configuration and service.
• Locate flights and finalize items on meal carts.
• Add/check ice cream, condiments, hot entrees, special meals and temperature checks.
• Identify discrepancies and inform supervisor to place missing items on flight.
• Communicate any problems with the flight to dispatch.
• Handover flight to flight crew on the AOA.
• Perform additional duties as needed and adhere to safety regulations.
• Interpret and understand Menu and Flight Galley Specifications.
• Follow Ramp and AOA safety and security rules and regulations.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• picking up the flight schedules for specific airline from dispatch.


• Look/collect final information count to include flight number, type of aircraft, configuration and type of service.


• Locate flights and final/pack specific items on the meal carts.


• Add/check ice cream, condiments, hot entree, check special meals, crew, flight completion and temperature taking before finalizing flight.


• Identify all discrepancies, inform supervisor and ensure that all missing items are placed on the flight.


• Communicate any problems with the flight to dispatch.


• Hand over Flight to Flight crew out on the AOA.


• Perform additional duties as needed.Must adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.


• Ability to interpret and comprehend Menu and Flight Galley Specifications.


• Follows all Ramp Safety and AOA Safety and Security Rules and Regulations.
