Job summary

ATOPS is seeking an experienced Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic to join our on-site team in Miami, FL. You will perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft airframe and powerplant systems in accordance with FAA regulations and OEM specifications.

This full-time role involves documenting all work, maintaining maintenance records, supporting AOG situations, and collaborating with technicians and engineers to resolve technical issues on the hangar floor.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in turbine engine inspection, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Hands-on aircraft maintenance for both airframe and powerplant systems.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulics, avionics, pneumatics, fuel, and environmental controls.
  • Compliance with FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and company procedures.
  • Knowledge of aircraft structures, materials, and corrosion prevention.
  • Valid FAA A&P certificate.
  • Experience on commercial or regional jet aircraft preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and drawings.
  • Detail-oriented with a safety mindset in a fast-paced on-site environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts.

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft airframe and powerplant systems per FAA and OEM specs.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and detailed inspections.
  • Document all work and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Role Description

The Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic will perform day-to-day inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft airframe and powerplant systems in accordance with FAA regulations and OEM specifications. Responsibilities include conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, performing detailed inspections to ensure airworthiness, documenting all work performed, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The role involves collaborating with other technicians and engineers to resolve technical issues, supporting AOG situations when required, and adhering to safety policies and quality standards on the hangar floor. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL.

Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPlant maintenance, including inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of turbine engines.
  • Hands-on experience in Aircraft Maintenance, covering scheduled and unscheduled checks, component replacement, and defect correction.
  • Solid understanding of Aircraft Systems such as hydraulics, avionics, pneumatics, fuel, and environmental control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain Airworthiness through compliance with FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and company procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Aircraft structures and materials, including repair techniques and corrosion prevention.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  • Previous experience working on commercial or regional jet aircraft preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts, as operational needs require.
