Job summary

AVTECH Global in Birmingham, AL is seeking skilled and motivated Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (A&P) to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.

You will work on Boeing and Airbus line maintenance tasks, handle A-checks, and support AOG recoveries, with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
• Previous commercial aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and travel if required.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical discrepancies
• Execute line maintenance tasks including A-checks, overnight checks, and service checks
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and company safety standards
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and logbook entries
• Support aircraft-on-ground (AOG) recovery efforts as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to meet operational goals
