Role Description

The Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in Reading, PA. This role is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft airframes and powerplants, including inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Daily tasks include interpreting technical manuals and maintenance documentation, verifying airworthiness, completing detailed maintenance records, and collaborating with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow. The mechanic will use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, follow strict safety protocols, support quality control processes, and assist with resolving complex mechanical and system issues on various aircraft types.

Qualifications
  • Strong aircraft maintenance skills, including experience working on a variety of aircraft and familiarity with maintenance documentation and procedures.
  • Knowledge of powerplant systems and components, with the ability to perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft engines.
  • Understanding of aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel, and environmental systems) and ability to diagnose and correct system malfunctions.
  • Experience ensuring airworthiness, including compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company maintenance standards.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or ability to obtain, with a strong commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures precisely.
  • Ability to work on-site in Reading, PA, collaborate effectively in a team environment, and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Previous experience in a Part 145 repair station or similar aviation maintenance organization is beneficial; high school diploma or equivalent required, technical or aviation maintenance training preferred.
