Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a design engineer to perform thermal and CFD analyses for heavy-duty gas turbine engines. You will work on airfoil thermal performance, cooling, and sealing, using in-house tools and commercial software, while collaborating across disciplines to meet design constraints.

This role requires a Mechanical/Aerospace engineering background with at least four years of experience and a U.S. person status for export-controlled information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. government export control restrictions; U.S. persons only.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze thermal/fluid aspects of heavy-duty gas turbine hardware using in-house tools and CFD/FEA software; develop autonomy under a technical leader.
• Ensure designs meet GE Vernova engineering standard work and templates.
• Support gas turbine design from concept through detailed design and manufacturing qualification.
• Support engine testing, including test planning, execution, and post-test analyses.
• Address fleet manufacturing issues and drive cost and durability improvements through root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Document and review designs and analyses with team members and leadership.
