Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a mechanical or aerospace engineer with gas turbine combustor experience to own the aerothermal aspects of the design, development, testing and emissions capability for GE Vernova's industrial gas turbine aeroderivative combustion systems. The role involves hands-on and desk work, including design hand-calcs, flow-modeling, CFD, high-temperature testing, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Design combustion systems to meet overall gas turbine product requirements.
• Complete procedures, design templates, and other standard work methods using hand calculations, test data, and good engineering judgment to justify designs against acceptance criteria.
• Autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework and consult senior members when necessary to accomplish work/priorities.
• Effectively document and present results in formal and informal reviews.
• Protect IP rights of the Company and align with safety, quality, delivery, cost priorities.
• Collaborate with team to solve straightforward tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training.
