Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut is hiring an Airfoil Cell Operator – Baffles for the 1st shift, onsite. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections of turbine airfoils, accept or reject materials, and manage logs and QA records as part of a precision manufacturing team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, or a post-secondary certificate with 0–1+ years. Onsite work with standard inspection procedures is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of production turbine airfoils and equipment using specified methods and techniques.
• Accept or reject material based on findings.
• Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.
• Work from established written inspection procedures, drawings and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform inspections on turbine airfoils.
• Utilize standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment to verify accuracy and classify results.
• Follow procedures to perform in-line checks and verify dimensions with operation sheets.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment as necessary.
• Complete logs, quality assurance forms and other records.
