Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Airfoil Cell Operator in East Hartford, CT for the 2nd shift to support turbine airfoil inspection and assembly processes. You will perform basic dimensional and visual inspections, accept or reject materials, and document results according to written procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, or a related degree/certificate. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to established quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of turbine airfoils and other equipment using specified methods and techniques.
• Accept or reject material based on findings.
• Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.
• Work from established written inspection procedures, drawings and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional, visual, and water and airflow inspections on turbine airfoils.
• Utilize standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment to verify accuracy of parts and accept or reject based on findings.
• Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are followed.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
• Complete logs, quality assurance forms and other records as necessary.
