Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Airfoil Cell Operator – Baffles for 2nd shift onsite in East Hartford, CT. You’ll perform dimensional and visual inspections of turbine airfoils and related components, accept or reject material, and maintain quality records.

Responsibilities include following inspection procedures, using standard measuring tools, and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed. This is an onsite role with full-time hours and benefits per company policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of related experience. or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of production turbine airfoils and other equipment using specified methods and techniques.
• Accept or reject material based on findings.
• Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.
• Work from established written inspection procedures, drawings and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional, visual, and water and airflow inspections on turbine airfoils.
• Utilize standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment to verify accuracy of parts and accept or reject based on findings.
• Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are followed.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
• Complete logs, quality assurance forms and other records as necessary.
