Menzies Aviation at Chicago O'Hare International Airport is seeking a Tower Coordinator to manage aircraft movements in the non-movement area, coordinating with FAA Ground Control to maintain safe separation and minimize taxi delays.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work any shift including nights and weekends, and a valid US driver's license; pre-employment screening is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and testing.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
  • Able to work any shift 7 days a week including weekends, nights and holidays.
  • High school diploma or GED or six months experience as a Tower Coordinator.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Control aircraft movements in non-movement areas.
  • Coordinate with FAA Ground Control for sequencing.
  • Sequence and separate for pushback and engine starts at gates.
  • Prepare for arriving traffic sequences prior to ramp.
  • Update flight information in applicable programs.
  • Attend mandatory training and comply with company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
