Job summary

Versar Global Solutions is seeking an Airfield Management Shift Lead (AMSL) to manage day-to-day airfield operations, supervise personnel, and ensure safety and quality of service for Ascension Auxiliary Airfield. The role requires coordination with aircraft crews, ATC, and base agencies to support safe operations and flight planning.

The AMSL will oversee airfield management activities, RSOs, and related equipment, while planning additional services and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Must have computer skills and be able to operate various programs.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license with 12 months validity from the on-site date.
• Must maintain a valid passport with 12 months validity from the on-site date.
• Must be able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate airfield operations with aircraft crews, ATC, and base agencies to ensure safe operations.
• Procure, maintain, and provide information for safe airfield operations in national/international airspace.
• Provide NOTAMs, weather info, and flight following services.
• Assist aircrews with information and services for flight planning and operations.
• Coordinate with agencies for billets, meals, refueling, transport, and maintenance.
• Perform RSOs and oversee airfield management activities and equipment.
• Plan and oversee additional customer-requested services (airfield projects, UAS, FARP).
• Assist Airfield Commanders and Senior Airfield Authority as needed.
