Job summary

Amentum in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Airfield Management Specialist to oversee airfield operations, flight planning, NOTAMs, and coordination with air traffic control and base activities. The role requires familiarity with Air Force, DoD, and FAA directives.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in airfield management, be able to work flexible shifts, and hold eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; FAA/Flight Service school completed.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Top Secret clearance eligibility; US citizenship required.
• Occasional 2–4 nights away; ability to work weekends/holidays.
• Must work day, swing, or grave shifts.
• Must have valid state driver’s license and pass color-blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain files, reports, and correspondence for Airfield Management.
• Process flight plans and maintain flight information and planning data.
• Coordinate with ATC and base activities for Airfield Management.
• Interpret policies for flight operations and NOTAMs.
• Perform daily airfield inspections of runways, taxiways, lighting, and RSC.
