Job summary

City of Loveland in Loveland, CO, is seeking an Airport Maintenance Worker III to help keep the Northern Colorado Regional Airport (FNL) safe and operational around the clock. The role involves airfield facilities, lighting, and grounds maintenance in compliance with FAA Part 139 and local policies.

The position is a temporary, 40-hour week assignment for up to 10 months, with a pay range of $25.00–$29.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED with preferred associate degree.
  • Experience in general maintenance, construction, equipment operation, or a related field is expected.
  • Must be able to Safely operate basic tools, light-duty machinery, and vehicles; willing to work in an airfield environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out operational tasks and assists with maintaining airport equipment and related equipment.
  • Performs repair and maintenance of airport equipment and grounds under supervisor guidance.
  • Provides 24/7 on-call support for operational needs, including winter snow removal on nights and weekends when assigned.
  • Executes all duties safely within an active airport environment where aircraft operations are ongoing.
  • Maintains airfield facilities in compliance with applicable regulations after required training.
