Job summary

Omaha Airport Authority is seeking a Field Maintenance Worker to support maintenance at Eppley Airfield and Millard Airport. The role involves operating heavy equipment, performing repairs, painting, and general labor in all weather conditions.

The position requires 40 hours weekly with overtime for snow removal and other tasks. Work is primarily on-site within the Facilities Maintenance Department, reporting to the Field Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain a Nebraska/Iowa CDL prior to qualification period; drivers are in federal random drug/alcohol program.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and off-road equipment (snowplows, brooms, blowers, trucks, forklifts, graders, tractors).
• Repair asphalt and concrete, pavement striping, and related systems.
• Maintain and repair machinery and vehicles including heavy equipment.
• Paint building interiors and exteriors.
• Perform wide range of manual labor (trash pickup, land clearing, fence repair).
• Electrical repairs and maintenance of airport lighting.
