Job summary

The Port of Seattle is hiring an Airfield Crew member to perform maintenance and minor construction at SEA Airport. You will respond to emergencies, manage runways and roadways, and communicate with air traffic control and other agencies using radios.

Applicants should have five years of journey level experience, be able to obtain a commercial driver's license within six months, and be able to pass TSA and FBI background checks. Washington residency is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of journey level maintenance or construction experience.
• Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment.
• Valid CDL desired with proper endorsements (WA).
• Willingness to pass TSA and FBI background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain runways, taxiways, ramps, roads, and parking lots.
• Communicate by radio with ATC and other agencies.
• Maintain landscaping and field mowing.
• Support Snow Team and respond to emergencies.
• Investigate underground utilities, record & report.
• Perform underground repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
