Job summary

Port of Seattle is seeking an Airfield Crew member to perform maintenance on runways, taxiways, ramps, roads, and parking lot pavement, respond to emergencies, and support snow removal and underground utility work at SEA Airport. You will work Monday–Friday, typical 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., with potential weekends or emergency shifts, operating a variety of heavy equipment and communicating by radio with peers and the air traffic control tower while upholding safety and equity in a team-focused

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of journey-level maintenance/construction experience.
• Ability to obtain a commercial driver license within 6 months.
• Washington CDL Class B or A with air brake, tanker, hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Must pass TSA and FBI background checks; Port ID badge required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Maintain runways, taxiways, ramps, roads, and parking lot pavement.
• Communicate via two-way radios with ATC and other agencies.
• Maintain landscaping and field mowing.
• Be part of Snow Team for snow removal and emergencies.
• Perform underground utility investigations, record keeping, and reporting.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
