Job summary

Royal Electric is seeking a Project Engineer to support airfield infrastructure projects across multiple sites, including Dallas, Denver, or Austin.

You will manage documentation, perform takeoffs, coordinate with vendors, and assist in scheduling and procurement, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with project specs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work both in the office and on job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Construction management experience is a plus.
• Electrical field experience is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore.
• Experience with a scheduling platform such as P6 or Planner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage document control between job folders and PlanGrid.
• Perform take offs for lighting and power counts.
• Assist with job start-ups including procuring a jobsite trailer and office material, identifying vendors, and coordinating with accounting to set up new vendors.
• Understand the project schedule including deliverables and milestones; assist in development with project team.
• Prepare submittals, review long lead submittals, prepare RFIs and CORs, track documents, and closeout.
• Process material orders/Subcontractor T&C and ensure phase codes are assigned.
• Assist project team with deliveries to site or shop.
• Follow up with vendors on long lead items and procurement tracking.
• Collect production data from field and input into tracking systems.
• Support Foreman, Field Engineer, PM, and Superintendent.
• Build and maintain relationships with GC/Owners, Subcontractors, and vendors.
