Job summary

Equipment Operator Journey 2 for the Alaska DOT&PF at Anchorage International Airport is a seasonal role. You will professionally operate heavy equipment including motor graders, loaders, dump trucks, snow removal machines and more to keep the airport surfaces clear and safe.

Under general supervision, you will perform airfield operations, maintain equipment, communicate via radios, and support emergency repairs across parking lots, roadways, and runways in challenging Alaska weather.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Experience operating heavy equipment at an airport is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly via air-to-ground radios.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment on the airfield and airport property.
• Perform snow removal and maintenance of runways, taxiways, and related surfaces.
• Conduct equipment cleaning and routine maintenance; assist with emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with airfield operations and respond to changing conditions.
