City of Melbourne, FL is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of airport vehicles and equipment. The role supports airfield operations under the supervision of the Airfield Supervisor and requires basic automotive skills and the ability to work independently while learning more advanced diagnostic methods.

The position requires a Florida Class B CDL, six months of repair experience, and the ability to maintain detailed maintenance records.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum six (6) months of documented automotive and/or equipment repair service maintenance experience.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and work orders.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect and test malfunctioning equipment to diagnose problems.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including oil changes, cleaning, and part replacements.
• Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools, milling, and welding equipment.
• Maintain an orderly work area and proper documentation of work orders.
• Order and track parts, materials, and fluids for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Run vehicles or equipment weekly when idle; assist Level I and II technicians.
