Preferred Materials - Concrete Division is seeking a Mechanic I to inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and components. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and coordination with Operations to meet schedules and compliance across state and federal standards.

The position requires basic diagnostic skills and the ability to work in varying weather conditions, with Class B CDL preferred and a Florida driver’s license. A strong safety culture and teamwork are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years maintenance and heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with <6 points; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates between Operations to maintain schedules and comply with safety standards.
• Performs and documents maintenance repairs on mobile equipment.
• Inspects repairs and maintains inventory records.
• Follows safety standards and promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Performs road tests and road calls as needed.
• Other duties as required.
