Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC seeks an Aircraft Technician to support maintenance of Learjets and Vision Jets, contributing to high-reliability nationwide operations.

You will perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs per manufacturer data, ensure FAR compliance, and coordinate with maintenance leadership. The role requires a strong tool set, travel readiness, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience complying with 14 CFR Part 65.83.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Parts 135 and 145.
  • Must provide and maintain a complete set of personal tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and travel as needed.
  • Valid U.S. driverrs license.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs per manufacturer manuals and FAA data.
  • Ensure compliance with FARs and company procedures.
  • Interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and drawings to perform maintenance actions.
  • Safely move aircraft within the hangar and ramp, including tow tractors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform only tasks for which trained and qualified.
  • Participate in weekly maintenance meetings and update the Director of Maintenance.
  • Perform additional duties to support maintenance and team objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer manuals and FAA-approved data.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies outlined in the General Procedures Manual and Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.
  • Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings to perform accurate maintenance actions.
  • Safely move aircraft within the hangar and on the ramp, including operating tow tractors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform only tasks for which proper training and qualifications have been obtained.
  • Participate in weekly maintenance meetings to review ongoing projects and provide updates to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support maintenance and team objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance with 14 CFR Part 65.83.
  • Strong aircraft troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, particularly Parts 135 and 145.
  • Basic inventory management knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in computer data entry and Microsoft Windows-based programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work day and night shifts.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Must provide and maintain a complete set of personal tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience maintaining Learjet aircraft.
  • Experience with Pratt & Whitney PW305A engines.
  • Learjet 60 maintenance experience preferred.
