Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC is seeking a licensed Aircraft Mechanic to maintain a Learjet 60 fleet for a Part 135 operator. This full-time role offers an 8 on/6 off rotation, or a Mon–Fri option for certain home-base cities, with pay starting at $60/hr and $70/hr for leads, plus a $5/hr bump if based in El Paso, TX or Titusville, FL.

Expect 10–12 hour days in a fast-paced environment. You will perform line and heavy maintenance under FAA data, travel as needed, and lift 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• 6+ years of experience meeting 14 CFR Part 65.83 requirements.
• Experience with Learjet airframes and PW305A engines.
• Ability to travel and work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation.
• High school diploma or GED and a valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and heavy maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs on Learjet 60 aircraft.
• Complete all work according to manufacturer manuals and FAA-accepted data.
• Follow applicable FARs, company procedures (GPM), and the FAA-approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.
• Read and interpret aircraft technical manuals and electrical drawings.
• Move aircraft in the hangar and on the ramp, including tow-tractor operation.
• Join weekly maintenance meetings to review project progress and resolve issues with the Director of Maintenance.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Home base: Live in any of 34 major U.S. airport cities – we fly you to the work

What You'll Do

What You Bring

Required

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
• 6+ years of experience meeting 14 CFR Part 65.83 requirements
• Experience with Learjet airframes and Pratt & Whitney PW305A engines
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of FAR Parts 135 and 145
• Your own full tool set
• Ability to travel, work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Comfortable with computer data entry, Microsoft Office, and basic inventory management
• High school diploma or GED and a valid U.S. driver's license

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of Learjet 60 maintenance experience
• AOG / mobile maintenance experience
