Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician for a contract-to-hire role in Marana, AZ. The candidate will inspect, repair, and replace aircraft sheet metal structures in accordance with maintenance manuals and FAA regulations, focusing on main landing gear fittings, skins, and floor beams.

Qualifications

• 35+ years of experience in aircraft structures, sheet metal repair, and fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with aircraft airframes and structures, including commercial aircraft larger than a CRJ 900; Boeing and Airbus experience preferred.
• Proficiency in aircraft sheet metal repair, including riveting, drilling, and structural modifications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications for aircraft structures.
• Strong skills in sheet metal layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation.

Responsibilities

• Research technical data and follow applicable maintenance manuals and FAA regulations to inspect, repair, and replace aircraft sheet metal structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine methods and materials.
• Plan, lay out, fabricate, and install sheet metal parts and products.
• Select appropriate gauge and type of sheet metal and nonmetallic materials.
• Lay out dimensions using scribes, dividers, rulers, and perform layout techniques.
