Job summary

Aerotek is seeking Aircraft Structures Technicians to support both military and commercial aviation programs across Alabama and Mississippi. The role involves structural repairs, sheet metal work, and inspections on various aircraft platforms.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based out of Birmingham, AL, with competitive pay and long-term prospects. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of aircraft structures experience, works well in MRO or manufacturing environments, and owns their own tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aircraft structures experience.
• Experience in an MRO, manufacturing, depot, or modification environment.
• Experience with sheet metal repairs, riveting, and structural modifications.
• Must own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft structural repairs and modifications.
• Complete sheet metal work, riveting, and component installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot and repair structural discrepancies.
• Perform inspections and ensure work meets quality standards.
• Document maintenance and repair activities accurately.
• Follow all applicable safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
