Job summary

West Star Aviation’s Structures Technician role in Millville, NJ involves hands-on aircraft structure repairs, blueprint interpretation, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position requires basic sheet metal skills and a strong attention to detail, with clear communication across teams and vendors.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma and preferably an Airframe and Powerplant license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; A&P license preferred.
• Driver's license for airline travel and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as needed.
• Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Comply with FAA regulations and Repair Station/Quality Control procedures.
• Ensure accurate maintenance entries on forms and work orders.
