Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 2/3 in Clearfield, UT to join our Aeronautics Systems team. You’ll work on fuselage panels, bulkheads, and subassemblies like rudders and stabilizers.

Two years (Level 2) or four years (Level 3) of related aircraft experience, ability to read schematics, and DoD Secret clearance are required. The job involves physical work, weekend shifts, ASTAR training, and respirator clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of related aircraft experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• DoD Secret clearance to start (required to begin employment).
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.
• Flexibility to work changing shifts, including weekends.
• Must complete ASTAR training and pass a physical exam with respirator clearance.
• Level 3 requires 4+ years of related aircraft experience.

Responsibilities

• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Perform part-fitting operations: filing, sawing, riveting, drilling, reaming.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modify assemblies to incorporate design changes.
• Monitor quality in accordance with control procedures.
