Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Clearfield, UT is seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic – Entry Level to join our Manufacturing Operations Organization. You will work on major assembly structures like fuselage panels and bulkheads, as well as subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers.

This role requires hands-on work with attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. Variety of shifts (weekdays, nights, weekends) may apply with shift differential for eligible shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts including weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies with drilling and countersinking.
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Perform part-fitting operations and finishing (filing, sawing, burring, crimping).
• Measure parts with precision tools to verify dimensions.
• Possibly modify assemblies and verify quality per process controls.
• Utilize manufacturing shop controls and PPE daily.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement in production methods.
