Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks personnel to build structural assemblies such as ribs, bulkheads, and doors, using floor and bench jigs, fixtures, and established sequences. Work includes load, align, clamp, drill, and fit components, with experience in drilling, riveting, and bucking essential.

Candidates should have 4–6 months in structures assembly, the ability to read assembly blueprints, and relevant aircraft or mechanical experience. Training and an assessment are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Requires four to six months previous experience in structures assembly-type work/production experience.
• Ability to read assembly blueprints in order to perform work described

Responsibilities

• Assemble structural components such as ribs, bulkheads, doors in floor and bench positioned jigs and on work benches.
• Load, align, and clamp parts and sub-assemblies into jigs in established sequences using jig locators and pilot holes; drill holes as required.
• Fabricate and install shims, stiffeners, doublers, and perform related forming, reaming, riveting, and fastening tasks.
• Attend skills training program and pass a performance demonstration test at the start of employment.
