Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a skilled technician to develop and assemble prototype airframe structures. You will lay out, fabricate, assemble and mate parts, coordinating with engineers and production teams to ensure fit and function.

You will implement design changes for easier fabrication and participate in initial production runs, including static testing when required, with a focus on maintaining high quality and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of experience in fabrication, assembly and installation of development parts.
• Experience with processing multiple materials to perform stack up tasks in metallic and non-metallic materials.
• Training or demonstrated skills equivalent to complete level blueprint, technical data, and data model comprehension; basic computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and performs layout, fabrication, assembly, installation and mating operations for prototype structures.
• Proposes design changes to simplify fabrication, assembly, or maintenance and gains approval.
• Coordinates tooling needs and ensures correct alignment of multiple parts to prevent interference.
• Instructs production personnel during initial production runs and assists in static testing of parts or assemblies.
