Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a U-2 Aircraft Modification Technician for the Aircraft Modification Team at Beale AFB, California. The role delivers precise structural modifications to U-2 aircraft and requires heavy depot-level maintenance experience and the ability to read schematics.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and able to communicate effectively. The position may involve extended hours and requires lifting up to 50 pounds and overhead work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience with Aircraft maintenance and/or modification activities.
• Must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in their career field.
• Experienced in Aircraft Structural repair and installation.
• Be able to read & interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Heavy Depot Level Maintenance, Repair and modification of the aircraft structure and major subassembly's.
• Plan, layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair various sheet metal and structural assemblies and sub-assemblies utilizing precision measuring equipment.
• Complete jobs in maintenance data collection systems, adhere to technical orders, fault isolation manuals, ground operating procedures and local instructions.

Physical Requirements

Desired Skills

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from other candidates:

• U-2 Nose to Tail experience in Structures experience.
• Aircraft MOD Experience
• USAF Trained certified in structural repair.
• Possess previous instructor / training experience.
• Heavy Depot Maintenance experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $37.55 - $69.71
