Job summary

Insight Global seeks an Aerospace Engineer to support a commercial aircraft maintenance operation. You will act as the engineering expert for repairs, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements, working with maintenance teams to analyze damage and develop FAA-approved repair solutions to keep fleets in service.

Responsibilities include evaluating damage, researching manuals (AMM/IPC/CMM), creating engineering reports, and supporting AOG events while communicating with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting operational aircraft fleets.
• Experience evaluating structural damage and developing repair solutions.
• Experience interpreting AMM, IPC, and CMM manuals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate aircraft structural damage and determine repair solutions.
• Research aircraft manuals and technical documents to support repairs.
• Provide engineering support to maintenance technicians during repairs and troubleshooting.
• Investigate recurring aircraft issues and recommend long-term fixes.
• Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events by identifying root causes and repair recommendations.
• Create repair drawings, engineering reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Work with maintenance teams, manufacturers, vendors, and customers to solve technical problems.
• Support fleet reliability initiatives to improve aircraft availability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Participate in customer meetings and provide technical expertise.
• Travel occasionally to maintenance facilities and customer locations.
