Job summary

You will read blueprints, use torch brazing equipment, and ensure high quality welds and safety compliance in a demanding fabrication environment. Responsibilities include measuring, aligning, grinding, cutting, and operating power and hand tools, while maintaining knowledge of welding materials such as stainless steel and Inconel.

Qualifications

• Reading welding blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Brace stainless steel aircraft parts using oxy-acetylene torch brazing.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and codes.
• Operate torch brazing equipment as part of fabrication process.
• Measure and align workpieces using calipers, straightedges, and clamps.
• Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain precise textures and sizes.
• Operate arc welders, buffing machine, and scrapers.
• Maintain knowledge of welding characteristics of metals like stainless steel and Inconel.
