Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Software Integration Lab Engineer for an onsite role in Huntsville, AL. The position supports ASE programs with missile detection and evasion technology, collaborating across multiple high-visibility ASE software teams to ensure robust integration and testing.

You will provide lifecycle technical support for ASE products, analyze interfaces, perform V&V testing, and work with vendors to align capabilities with requirements. A DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years with AA/AS; 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Secret DoD Clearance required.
• Comprehensive understanding of hardware schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of system software interfaces and interoperability.
• Direct experience in integration and testing of aircraft electronics systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for ASE products across lifecycle: requirements, interfaces, development, architecture, testing, and sustainment.
• Analyze system interfaces and external interoperability.
• Execute testing on hot mock-up systems to verify inter-system interoperability.
• Conduct V&V testing of software deliveries and software installation on removable media.
• Test and troubleshoot inoperable equipment.
• Understand and analyze software requirements of the system.
• Collaborate with vendors to understand capabilities and performance requirements.
• Assess software impacts on system use and installation.
• Provide overarching technical support for software and product teams.
• Review vendor software CDRLs and artifacts (e.g., SDP, requirements, design docs, test plans).
