Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Platform Integration Engineer to support ASE integration on rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, onsite in Huntsville, AL. You will lead NRE activities, develop technical documentation, and ensure airworthiness across multiple platforms.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical/electrical engineering, extensive CAD experience, and active security clearance, with a focus on defense programs and space, weight, and power considerations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance required.
• BS/BA in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 11 years of experience (or MS/MA with 9 years, PhD with 7 years).
• Experience with ASE integration on defense platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide survivability equipment SME and systems engineering services for ASE integration on rotary and fixed-wing platforms.
• Lead the NRE on Army aircraft integration including A-kit design, prototyping, MWO development, installation support and field troubleshooting.
• Develop/review technical documents for aircraft integration, interface control, and airworthiness qualifications.
• Author/review SOW, CI and IGCE documentation to facilitate timely contracts.
• Participate in development, installation, and checkout of ASE products A-kits, B-kits, and SW on platforms.
• Evaluate A-kit concepts, designs, and electrical/mechanical analyses.
• Formulate and recommend alternative engineering solutions.
• Support development of 3D printed models for on-aircraft surveys.
• Provide input for space, weight and power changes for each platform.
• Provide CAD engineering support for A-kit drawings and MWO reviews to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Input for future ASE Aircraft Integration tasks including schedule projections and costs.
• Provide SME input for foreign military sales platform variations of PM ASE Products.
