Join to apply for the Aircraft Sheet Metal Shop Mechanic role at Ameriflight, LLC

Ameriflight, LLC is the nation’s largest Part 135 Cargo airline and a leader in scalable, outsourced aviation services to the regional express airfreight market. We operate over 150 cargo aircraft, including Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99, from bases across the United States.

Basic Duties
  • Perform maintenance on aircraft per company policy, manufacturer’s recommendations, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Document all work according to procedures and regulations.
  • Manufacture or repair sheet metal items based on instructions, blueprints, or drawings.
  • Read and interpret instructions and drawings accurately.
  • Record maintenance work properly, including signatures or initials.
  • Maintain records such as work orders, logs, and material records.
  • Keep work area clean and safe.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • FAA repair station experience preferred.
  • Experience in aircraft structural maintenance and repair.
  • Competence in using metal shears and brakes.
  • Experience with composite bonded repairs and cosmetic repairs to aircraft interiors preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate company vehicles.
General Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the US.
  • High School diploma/GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to interpret manuals and documents.
  • Flexible with shifts.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to obtain airport access badge.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
Physical Requirements
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Work outdoors and in noisy environments as needed.
