Job description

Level of Mechanic is based on years of specific C-12 / UC-35 hands-on A&P mechanic experience).

A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required.

The Union CBA provides 3 levels of A&P experience based on years of experience on the assigned MDS aircraft C-12, King Air- UC-35 Citation aircraft .

AM-1 - Two (2) Years of C-12 / King Air and or UC-35 A&P mechanic experience is required.

AM-2 - Five (5) years of C-12 / King Air or UC-35 A&P mechanic experience is required.

AM-3 - Thirteen (13) years of C-12 / King Air or UC-35 A&P mechanic experience is required.

US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance, and for facility and base access at the work site.

Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.

These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.

Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.

Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.

Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.

Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.

Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.

Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.

Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Union CBA Site, provides 3 levels of A&P experience, based on specific years of experience on the MDS aircraft assigned, C-12 / King Air 200 / 350 / 1900 and / or UC-35 Cessna Citation.

AM-1 Requires - Two (2) Years A&P experience is required, with two (2) or more years of specific King Air, C-12 Or UC-35 Citation being strongly preferred.

AM-2 Requires - Five (5) years of C-12 / King Air and / or UC-35 Cessna Citation hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required.

AM-3 Requires - Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of C-12 / King Air 200 / 350 / 1900 and / or UC-35 Cessna Citation specific aircraft experience required.

Valid Driver's License required.

May be required to work and / or rotate for a multiple shift operation. Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA.

Security Clearance Requirements :

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance is required; US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility access at this site.

Preferred Qualifications

Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR , recent experience requirements.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelineswhile maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.

Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.

Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.

Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
