Job summary

McEntire JNGS Fire Department is seeking qualified firefighters to provide 24/7 emergency response across aircraft, structural, vehicular and medical incidents. You will perform inspections, operate and maintain fire vehicles, and participate in required NFPA and ARFF training to stay certified.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, a valid SC driver’s license, and adherence to NFPA 1001/1072 and NFPA 1582 medical standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State driver’s license.
• Must meet the professional qualifications required by NFPA 1001; NFPA 1072; ARFF within 12 months of employment.
• Annual medical examination required per NFPA 1582 and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 24-hour response capability for emergency calls across aircraft, structural, vehicular and medical incidents.
• Perform fire prevention inspections and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain base fire vehicles and related equipment; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Participate in required training programs and stay current with NFPA/IFSAC standards.
