Qualifications

• High school diploma required and Firefighter II certification (IFSAC/ProBoard).
• Valid SC state driver’s license; ability to obtain federal license if required.
• Must meet NFPA-1582 medical/physical standards and NFPA 1500 safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire emergencies, rescues, hazardous material and medical calls on a military installation.
• Operate fire apparatus and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Provide medical assistance at EMR or higher levels.
• Take command of the scene in the absence of a Senior Fire Officer.
• Participate in training and evaluation exercises.
• Perform other duties as assigned by higher fire authorities.
