Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) for a 5th shift to respond to aircraft emergencies, provide rescue and firefighting services, and administer immediate medical care as needed. The role involves maintaining equipment, coordinating with Security and Fire personnel, and completing required NFPA certifications and EMT licensure within six months.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Bachelor’s degree in Fire Services, Emergency Management or related degree preferred.
• Must successfully complete all training and obtain all required permits, licenses and certifications for the site
• Experience as a firefighter is preferred
• Requires certifications & license: NFPA Firefighter 1 & 2; EMT license

Responsibilities

• Emergency response to aircraft incidents and fires using specialized firefighting and rescue techniques
• Emergency response to structural incidents and fires using specialized firefighting and rescue techniques
• Emergency medical assistance
• Maintenance to firefighting equipment including apparatus, gear and tools
• Coordinate day to day activities with onsite Security and Fire personnel
• May be responsible for structured on the job training activities with new team members
• Perform other duties as assigned
