Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience processing and auditing aircraft records in an aviation information system.
  • Experience with AMOS, eMRO, TRAX or similar platforms.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and a 10-year background check.
  • English fluent reading/writing/speaking.
  • Proficient with keyboarding and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiar with SharePoint and online document storage.
  • Willingness to travel; U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Update maintenance task requirements in TRAX and/or AMOS.
  • Maintain records in line with regulatory and company standards.
  • Process removal/installation transactions for components and assemblies.
  • Audit line and base maintenance work packages.
  • Maintain aircraft and engine logbooks and related records.
  • Enter data and file records; scan and index documents.
  • Audit FlyDocs and other documentation systems.
  • Identify and correct documentation errors; run required reports.
  • Perform other records-related duties as assigned.

STS Engineering Solutions is hiring Aircraft Records Specialists in Denver, Colorado, to support aircraft maintenance records and regulatory compliance for a commercial airline operation.

Two 1099 contract positions are available. These are on-site, day-shift assignments scheduled for 40 hours per week and expected to continue through December 2026, with the potential for extension.

This opportunity is designed for experienced aircraft records professionals who understand maintenance documentation, aircraft records auditing and aviation maintenance tracking systems such as AMOS and TRAX.

Position Overview

The Aircraft Records Specialist supports regulatory and company compliance requirements related to the retention and maintenance of aircraft, engine and component records.

This position is responsible for processing maintenance records, completing aircraft records audits, updating maintenance tracking systems and maintaining accurate documentation associated with aircraft operations and maintenance.

The ideal candidate can work independently, contribute effectively within a team and prioritize multiple records-related responsibilities to meet client deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Update maintenance task requirements in TRAX and/or AMOS
  • Maintain component and time-controlled records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Process transactions for the removal and installation of aircraft components and assemblies
  • Audit line maintenance work packages
  • Audit base maintenance work packages
  • Maintain aircraft and engine logbooks
  • Perform aircraft records data entry and filing
  • Scan and index paper documents for electronic storage
  • Audit documentation within FlyDocs
  • Identify and correct aircraft records documentation errors
  • Run required aircraft records and maintenance reports
  • Support additional aircraft records responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience processing and auditing aircraft records within an aviation information management system
  • Experience with systems such as AMOS, eMRO, TRAX, SCEPTRE, IFS Maintenix, Traxall, PMI, STC or similar platforms
  • Ability to successfully complete required drug testing
  • Ability to successfully complete a 10-year background check
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Experience with keyboarding and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using web-based applications
  • Ability to navigate internet-based systems
  • Experience filing electronic documents using SharePoint, shared network drives or similar systems
  • Ability to understand and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to maintain high standards for both quality and productivity
  • Willingness to comply with non-disclosure agreements and confidentiality policies
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for up to 10 hours per day

Preferred Qualifications
  • AMOS maintenance tracking software experience
  • TRAX maintenance tracking software experience
  • Higher education degree, preferably in an aviation-related field
  • Experience with the induction of new or used aircraft or engines
  • Experience performing aircraft or engine records reviews
  • Experience developing conformity packages for submission to the FAA or equivalent regulatory authority
  • Experience assembling aircraft or engine lease return records
  • Experience auditing aircraft or engine lease return records
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing aircraft records retention and maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat DC or equivalent software
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams
  • Experience using OneDrive
