Job summary

Aviation Technical Services in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure maintenance work is airworthy and documented.

You will perform preliminary, in-process, and final inspections on aircraft and components, aligned with FARs, CAMP, and customer requests.

The role requires an FAA A&P license and at least 3 years of heavy airframe maintenance, with opportunities for growth through ATS Academy and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years heavy aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA A&P license required.
• NDI and QC experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs incoming preliminary inspections on aircraft or components per customer requests or manuals.
• Documents maintenance per FARs, ATS Repair Station Manual, and CAMP.
• Completes final buy-back of maintenance.
• Performs in-progress inspections including clearance-to-close and torque verifications.
• Releases serviceable tags, aircraft logbooks, and FAA Form 337 as authorized.
• Audits ATS facilities for FAR and safety regulation compliance.
